What are cookies?
"Cookies" are data files that a website on the net sends to your computer while browsing the site. These data files include information that will enable our site to collect important information that may make your site use more effective and more useful to you. Our site uses "cookies" for several reasons. We use cookie technology and IP addresses to obtain non-personal information from visitors and to provide our registered visitors with the best personalized online experience.
Visitors to our site use different query programs and different computers. In order to make your queries as easy as possible, with the technology you are using, we automatically note the type of browser (such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome) and operating system (Windows, Macintosh) used by a visitor as well such as the domain name of the visitor's Internet service provider. We also collect the total number of visitors to our site, together, to enable us to update and improve it in the most productive way; in this process no identifiable personal information is extracted. This data allows us to know if there are more visitors preferring certain functions or areas, thus helping us to keep our site up to date and interesting for most of our visitors.
We also use "cookies" to help prevent young children from having access to certain areas or functions reserved only for adults or older adults.
What if I do not want cookies?
If you do not wish to receive cookies, you can configure your computer to notify you whenever you receive a cookie or disable all cookies through your query program (eg Internet Explorer or Google Chrome). (See the help menu of your query program to find out the correct way to change or update cookies.) If you disable cookies, you may not be able to access some of the above functions. Through your browser settings, you can have some control over most cookies.
